Addressing Professional Liability Issues with Contractors
Download a CPL/Professional information sheet!
With cold weather around the corner, contractors will soon see a significant increase in projects involving heating systems, plumbing, fuel delivery, tank cleaning, etc. And with stimulus money being allocated to several state building and improvement projects, many contractors are beginning to line up other new contracts for the coming months.
In the course of their normal operations, contractors face all types of professional exposures. They may make slight adjustments on the provided plans to get the job done properly, they may supervise subcontractors, or provide other recommendations which could potentially be questioned in the event of a claim. Since these activities are usually excluded from General Liability and mono-line Contractors Pollution Liability policies, it is crucial that all contractors have the right coverage to fill these gaps.
Contractors Pollution Liability/Professional coverage provides coverage to general contractors, construction managers, and various trade contractors who may have both pollution and professional exposures. Several product enhancements are available and coverage starts as low as $5,000.
